Advertising Disclosure

At GayDemographics.org, we pour ridiculous amounts of time into testing tools, digging into stats, and writing guides that (hopefully) make sense of the world of LGBTQ+ data and demographics. Sometimes, when we recommend a resource, book, or service, you’ll notice a link or banner. Yep — some of those are part of our advertising partnerships, and yes, that may include affiliate links.

Here’s the straightforward version: if you click a link and then decide, “Hey, I’m gonna buy this” or “I’ll sign up for that service,” the company might toss us a small thank-you fee for sending you their way.

That’s how a lot of the internet works. And no — it doesn’t cost you anything extra. You pay the same price you would’ve paid anyway. The only difference is that your purchase helps keep Gay Demographics running (and helps us afford coffee while writing those extra-long guides).

It’s important to clarify:

Let’s clear the air with some “what we don’t do” points:

  • We’re not an online store. We don’t sell, resell, or ship anything ourselves.
  • We’re not pretending to be Amazon, Target, or your favorite queer-friendly bookstore. We don’t act on behalf of any brand.
  • Prices, discounts, and availability? Totally out of our hands. We don’t control those.
  • Transactions don’t happen here. They happen directly on the advertiser’s site.
  • We don’t take your money, process payments, or send you receipts.
  • We don’t share or even touch your personal or financial info. That’s between you and the site you buy from.
  • We don’t handle customer service, warranties, or refunds. If your rainbow mug arrives chipped, you’ll need to contact the store, not us.
  • We don’t vouch for every product’s quality, performance, or reliability. We try to recommend only solid stuff, but life happens.
  • We don’t make the deals. If you see a discount, that’s the advertiser’s doing, not ours.
  • We’re not here to nudge you into spending money. Whether you click or not is 100% your call.

Think of us as your nerdy friend who spends way too much time reading reports, testing resources, and then handing you the cliff notes. We share tutorials, recommendations, and tips we believe are useful. What you do with that info is completely up to you.

Because honesty matters. We believe in transparency and want you to know exactly how we keep GayDemographics.org free. Those little affiliate fees help us pay the bills without slapping annoying paywalls on everything. You get free content; we keep the lights on. Simple, fair, and upfront.
